RTP Half Fare Card

Casco Bay Island Transit District, the Portland METRO, and the South Portland Bus System all accept the Regional Transportation Program Half Fare Card as well as Medicare cards to validate half fares for persons with transportation disabilities. We ask your assistance by always presenting proper ID when purchasing half fare tickets.

If you do not have a Medicare card but think you qualify for half fare tickets, please visit the offices of the Regional Transportation Program (RTP). Bring proof of your condition (e.g. a doctor's note) so they can issue you a card. We do suggest that you call ahead (774-2666) to make sure you have all the information they will need.

The RTP offices are located in the METRO bus headquarters at 127 St. John Street (entrance on Valley Street).

Directions from Casco Bay Lines: Turn left onto Commercial Street. Proceed to the light at Route 1 (Veterans Memorial Bridge). Turn right onto Valley Street. The METRO and RTP offices will be on your left after the light.

Visit www.rtprides.org for more information about RTP.
