Year-Round Cruises

Mailboat Run   Duration: 3 hrs.   Runs: Daily

An integral part of our island communities, the Mailboat is a true working boat carrying passengers, mail and freight to the islands of Casco Bay—Little Diamond, Great Diamond, Long, Cliff and Chebeague. As the longest-operating service of its kind, this tour is a wonderful way to see the sights of the Bay.

Sunset Run   Duration: 2.5 hrs.   Runs: Daily

Portland shimmers in the distance as you relax in the twilight of a perfect Maine day. Enjoy evening breezes as we navigate our way through Casco Bay.

Sunrise      on the Bay

Duration: 2.5 hrs.   Runs: Monday - Friday

Join our crew on a peaceful dawn departure through the awakening islands. Observe sea birds, seals, and an occasional deer along the shoreline. Watch the lobstermen and the local fishing fleet as they get underway from their docks and moorings.

Diamond Pass Run   Duration: 1 hr. 45 min.   Runs: Daily

Take this scenic cruise of the Inner Bay past lovely Victorian cottages on the shorelines of Little and Great Diamond Island and Peaks Island. Catch a glimpse of island life as we travel to four different stops.

Moonlight Run   Duration: 1 hr. 45 min.   Runs: Daily

Harbor lights twinkle brightly as the ferry makes its way through the dark waters of the night bay.

Bailey Island         Day Cruise

Duration: 5 hrs. 45 min.   Runs: Daily

Listen as the captain describes the history of Casco Bay as we cruise past lighthouses, forts and 19th-century summer colonies. Enjoy a leisurely stopover and dine on Down East cuisine, or bring a picnic and stroll the nearby beaches. This popular narrated round trip offers perfect Maine memories.

Bailey Island     Noontime Cruise

Duration: 1 hr. 45 min.   Runs: Daily

The narrated Noontime Cruise departs Cook's Landing on Bailey Island at noon and cruises through Potts Harbor, past Eagle Island and Haskell Island with a peek at Mackerel Cove.
Note: Bailey Island can be reached by car from the Brunswick area by taking Route 24 south from Cook's Corner.

Casco Bay Lines offers many opportunities to get out on the Bay with a variety of scenic trips offering different destinations, durations, and departure times. Pack a lunch; bring your camera, binoculars, and a sweater.

Choose from a family trip with the kids to explore tidal pools or wade at one of the small beach areas. Escape for a romantic lunch or dinner, a day at the beach, or bring your bike and explore island life. There truly is something for everyone!

Island living is alive and well in Casco Bay. Did you know there are only 14 un-bridged islands in Maine that claim year-round residency? Six of them are yours to explore right here in Casco Bay.

Get a taste of what it's really like to live on an island. Regularly scheduled ferry service provides a glimpse of inhabited islands in Casco Bay and an opportunity to visit. You'll witness how islanders live; you'll see how they get their mail, their vehicles, and their daily supplies.

Take along a picnic or just sit quietly while you pass the rocky shorelines, wooded landscapes, island homes, boatyards and beaches. From sailboats, fishing vessels, and working lobster boats, our cruises offer a stunning panorama of what Mother Nature and the Maine coast have to offer.

Adult: age 10+
Senior/Disabled: age 65+ or persons with transportation disabilities, including Medicare card or RTP card holders
Child: age 5-9 (under 5 free)

Group rates are available on cruise tickets for groups of 20 or more. A group reservation is required.

Snacks

Only the Bailey Island Day and Noontime Cruises have a snack bar on board. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments aboard any cruise.
